Sanibel Island 2012

The kids, my mother-in-law (aka Nini) and I went to Sanibel Island in Florida last week. Nini has been going to Sanibel Island (famous for its seashell-strewn beaches) for about 30 years.  This was my fourth visit, My Boy and Lolliop's third visit, and baby girl's 1st visit.  I think its so neat to have a place you go to repeatedly as a child.  I'm so grateful that my kiddos are blessed enough to be able to do this with Sanibel! Can't wait for next time!  Thanks to the moon and back Nini for taking us with you!

First time on a plane!  She was a trooper!

Beach Babes

We did lots of digging

And we played in the surf and waves

We found beautiful seashells

We read (in restaurants, at the pool, on the plane....)

We had milkshakes at Cheeburger Cheeburger (a tradition that we visit there each time we go)

And we adorned ourselves with tasty onion rings

She tried to bury herself in the sand but only got this far

She spent hours building a habitat for cocina (spelling?) shells

My army man spent hours building forts and jumping in the waves

Naptime is a necessity!

We visited the animal habitat at the resort
And found some feathered friends as well

We ate at author Randy Wayne White's Doc Ford's

Silly girl!

By the end of the trip this girl was so tired we couldn't even get clothes on her!
