She has her first ear infection and her momma has what she suspects is the flu (which she thinks is what has been attacking us for the past two weeks. And yes, we all got a flu shots but we think maybe we got Flu B).

Seems like its the perfect day to stop the world and rock. I am so thankful that I can do just that.

Woo Hoo!

My Boy got the "Practice Ball" the other night for making the play of the night! While playing second base he grounded a ball and tagged the runner on first out. This is a big deal for us! We are so excited and happy for him. Woo Hoo!

Eventful Spring Break

Spring Break started out with My Boy not feeling great. He woke up Saturday morning (the 12th) and had what we call "the look." His eyes get so red and puffy when he's coming down with something. I know we are headed for yuckiness just by looking at him. I immediately grabbed the thermometer and yep, 103 was the reading. He said, "Oh great. I have Fifth's Disease like everybody in my class." I looked up the symptoms and he had every one! He slept for most of the weekend and managed to lose five pounds on his itty bitty body. He still doesn't have an appetite or all his energy back. I'm not sure that he had Fifth's (he never got a rash) but whatever it was knocked him out!

On Wednesday we drove to the lake and spent the night. Thursday we got up super early and headed to San Antonio where my niece's Adoption finalization court proceeding was being held. Since it was on St. Patty's Day everyone wore green!

My niece is in the middle with the dark hair and pink dress! We are so glad she is officially and forever ours! Here is a picture of all the grandkids on The Hubs' side. How do you get a good picture of six kids? Answer? You don't!

After the court proceedings we headed to dinner and then to The Westin La Cantera. Love this hotel! It was frigid but the bigger kids braved the water. The babies decided it was just best to look cute in their matching swimsuits.
Not to be left out, my older niece has a swimsuit too. Lollipop also has one but I packed a different one on accident.

We roasted marshmallows for s'mores and had so much fun
I had lunch with a dear sweet friend who lives in New Braunfels but of course forgot to bring the camera in. We headed back to the lake and spent the rest of the weekend. I didn't get many photos of the weekend, but we did have one milestone:

Gumdrop had her very first sink bath and it was a sloshing wet good time. I told The Hubs it was kind of like battling a baby alligator! She is a girl on the go! Inching, rolling, and pulling up on her knees. She also has stolen my heart with her newfound ability to say "Ma ma ma ma ma!"

Wordless Wednesday

7 months old!

7 months old today! The process of getting her monthly pic was not as easy this time around, she was obsessed with the piece of paper and bunny's tag:

The big news is.......she is sleeping through the night (FINALLY)! Ok, except for last night and the night before....... so she is sleeping through most nights (fingers crossed that it stays that way!)

Dear Tooth Fairy,

We have kept you really busy! Thank you so much for visiting us twice in the past week. At this point its kind of old hat for you to be visiting My Boy. He's lost a handful of teeth. We were particularly glad to give you his tooth as his adult tooth is already growing in to replace it. Hopefully we will see you again VERY soon because he has a baby tooth and an adult tooth on the other side battling it out.

Lollipop was SOOOOOO excited that you were able to visit her for THE VERY FIRST time. Where does the time go Tooth Fairy? How can it be possible that my baby girl angel face has a window in her smile (a phrase her teacher taught her, isn't it cute?). I'm expecting to have you around again for her too, its partner is itching to come out.

We have SPEND, SAVE, AND DONATE envelopes that the big kids collect their money in. Both kiddos chose to put their dollar bills in the SPEND envelope. I think they both have big plans. Thanks for taking such good care of us Tooth Fairy and for always finding your way. Lollipop and My Boy were so excited you were on your way that they went to sleep without protest! See you soon! We love you!

For those of you who will see Lollipop around town. The busted lip happened AFTER the tooth loss. Its in exactly the same place as the missing tooth so it looks like she knocked it out :).

Roller Derby

I am soooo not ready for this but I better get there. I'm about to have a girl on the go!!! Really? This happens at 6 months old? I know its been awhile since I had a baby but....really? Can I handle mobility?

She is a multiple roller! She started out at the playmat and ended up at the tile.

Hey Mom! Why did you take this thing off? Its fun! Oh well, I'll play with it anyway.
And maybe I'll watch a little tv while I'm at it. The weather channel is my fave!
Thank Goodness for straps! I'm REALLY hoping that we can stay in all of our baby gear for a while longer. Wish me luck!
