I've never done this before and thought it would be fun!  Here are the past two weeks worth of pics off of my phone. With the exception of one they are of my little Gumdrop, probably because I spend more time with her than anyone else!

 I got roped into doing an art project for my church's Children's Day Out program (we aren't even going to CDO and I still said yes!).  I'm a sucker and can't say no.  I'm also not much of an artist but I think this turned out pretty cute!  The only rule was that I had to use a hand or thumb print of all the kids and incorporate their names. I'm going to have to re-use this idea when I get talked into doing the auction project at our school next time around!

 We opened big sister's box of size 18 month clothes and found these fabulous Belle high heels that light up.  She's been wearing them around for days!

 This is a text to my husband of the ridiculous amount of markers/crayons/ etc. that we own.  I consolidated and threw away the un-useable and now we are down to three containers worth.

 And finally, baby girl has a new skill---climbing on furniture!

 Getting down is the hard part :).

More Quotes!

If you need a little chuckle today hopefully I can help you out with that!  Here is the next installment of kid quotes:

My Boy: "Hey mom, back in the 19's when you were growing up....."


Me: "Wait, what do you mean by 19's? "


Him: "You know the 19's!  I wasn't even born until the 2003 but you grew up in the 19's."

Good grief! My kid wasn't even born in the same century as me! And obviously he thinks "back in the 19's" means I'm some kind of artifact!

As Lollipop was kicking a soccer ball:


The Hubs: "Lollipop is going to be a great soccer player someday."


Me: "Yep, but we have to find time for her to actually play soccer.  What are you going to give up to play Lollipop?  Swim, cheer, or dance?  Mommy can't handle another activity."


Lollipop: "School.  I'll give up school."


And finally, we started having homework in Kindergarten this semester.  Every week she comes home with a letter page.  She traces the letters on the front page then she turns the sheet over and draws three pictures that start with that letter. She is then supposed to try to spell what she drew. The parent writes the correct spelling if help is needed.  She is only required to draw three but this week she went all out.

This week we had the letter N. This might only be funny to me, but if you will notice she drew a Netflix envelope.  And she spelled it right (well, she spelled it the way they do anyway)!  She also drew Justin Beiber singing Never say Never because the title starts with an N.  Things sure are different than they were back in the 19's :).

Vincent Van Snow

Have I mentioned our Kindergarten monthly Family Projects?  I love them!  Each month we are given a different task.  We have been asked to decorate a pumpkin, turkey, and for Christmas we made a big banner describing our family's traditions.  I know some people complain about the work involved but we really get into it!  Anyway, our January family project is a snowman.  We were told to decorate our snowman however we would like and then write a description about him.

As you all know, my girl is quite a little artist.  So, our snowman is an artist also!  Meet Vincent Van Snow!

 Vincent Van Snow would fit right into our climate today.  We are having our THIRD snow of the year (craziness!).  It is coming down fast and furious!  Our school was cancelled at 11 today (with only 10 minute warning that they were doing so, thank goodness I made it up there in time!). I'm seeing a delayed morning in our future.....
