Wild and Crazy Days!

As usual, we are living our lives at a break-neck pace. I have had a very emotional couple of weeks. I love it when things go EXACTLY my way, but lately, that has not been the case! I'm not having the easiest time in the whole wide world balancing motherhood, being a wife, being a friend, being a daughter and sister, and being the President-Elect of one the town's most noted non-profit organizations. I've been told by those that have been there that your PE year is harder than your Presidential year. I'm really, really hoping that is true. I wouldn't trade where I am for the world, but my family is definitely making sacrifices for me to be in this position. I am so very thankful for my family and my friends. I literally could not live my life without them.

Here are a few pics from the past two weeks:

We made our quarterly visit with this guy to the Dentist a few weeks ago (poor guy has really bad teeth, he has to go every three months for a cleaning).
After a long run of no glasses incidents, we had to break down and buy a new pair. We have some pretty cool new Oakley's on the way!
Lollipop has decided that maybe her little sister is NOT  the coolest person in the world anymore!

We attended JLM's Face the Race 5K run/walk. Face the Race is a 12 week program where our members mentor 7-8th grade girls at two local Junior High's. They have a lesson every week and then train for a 5K. The program culminates in the big race.

We all finished our first 5K!

Miss Lollipop also had an early piano recital this year. I'm so proud of her!
My baby boy got braces this week. I'm a sad mommy. They make him look ginormous.
Baby girl had a Thanksgiving feast in her class with her friends!

Every week when Gumdrop goes to the library, she brings home a different kid of shark book. It's hilarious!
We have had a massive ice storm the past few days. The Hubs and I were supposed to go to Santa Fe over the weekend, but didn't want to take the chance. I'm really glad we didn't, as we probably would have gotten stuck there!
I hope you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving! I for one have much to be thankful for!

She's 8 (and some other stuff)!

My lovely little Lollipop is eight! Eight is definitely great! She's such a sweet girl and I cherish every single minute of her! In lieu of a birthday party…we headed to Dallas for the weekend. We had a girls' lunch at the American Girl Doll store, went ice skating at the galleria, and got to see the pumpkin village at the Arboretum. It was fabulous!

Halloween was up next! We had so much fun this year. I'll admit that Halloween kind of stresses me out. I love to see the kids dressed up, but I'm not a huge fan of trick-or-treating. We went to a little get together next door with the neighborhood kids instead of trick-or-treating, and it was great! I hope its a new tradition!

My gum ball machine...

Harry Potter playing Quidditch (spelling?) and my adorable Pink Elephant.
We had trouble with the headpiece all day, but she's pretty darn cute!
How adorable is a class full of three year olds dressed up for Halloween???
My Boy played in the band at our last home football game. His teacher is so awesome, he encourages the kids to come "make some noise" for a few minutes to get used to playing. I love it! My Boy only played about 10 minutes, but his teacher was so excited he came. Heart-melting!
Another perk of a small school: your kids get to run the flags when your team scores!
Happy Fall Ya'll!
