Running Shoes

My Boy's track meet was on Saturday. I LOVE the fact that we go to a school where a second grader gets to run track (you are eligible to run starting in 1st grade--next year we will have two participants!). We definitely have a runner on our hands. The track season only lasts a couple of weeks but it is his absolute favorite thing to do.  It was a hot day, but we stuck it out and really enjoyed watching him and his friends compete!

He ran the first race of the day...the 1500 and got 2nd place! He beat his time from last year by over 30 seconds!

We totally missed pics of the 50 yrd dash he ran in.  He only had about 15 minutes to cool down after the 1500. We learned that he is not a sprinter (which is just fine!). Here he is in the aftermath!

I don't know why this gets me....my son is big enough to hang out in a heat tent!

Lollipop ran in the Fun Run.  There was an issue with her start and she "didn't win!" Not winning doesn't sit well with her.  Watch out for this one next year!
