Family Fun

My husband's cousin is married to this guy, whom she affectionately calls JR. JR is the bench coach for the Baltimore Orioles (the link says 3rd base coach but is now the bench coach). JR played catcher for the Rangers in the early 90s and he is able to include on his resume that he caught Nolan Ryan's 6th career no-hitter. How cool is that?!!

Last year JR was manager (coach) for the Pittsburgh Pirates and we were all able to go watch them play the Rangers as part of their son's birthday party. This year they decided to have another baseball game bday party for Stone. Different team, same theme! We had such a good time hanging out with the family. I sure do hope we get to do it again next year. Once you see a Rangers game from a suite, you never want to go back to the cheap seats :).

We spent most of the 4th weekend in the swimming pool. Here is my sis-in-law with the babies:
Boys will be boys!
We seriously had the most awesome room in the place. Walking distance to the pool!
This is a horrible picture but it is hilarious!!
Firework show at our hotel. We decided that this is totally the way to go. No driving! We watched the show and went directly to sleep.
Happy 4th of July! One of my favorite holidays!
Oh how I love Blue Goose, we used to eat there weekly when we lived in the Metroplex. I miss you and love you old friend!
Silly kiddos!
Last year at the baseball game. Notice the swollen belly and absence of The Hubs (who sadly had to work).
This year! Yea!!!!
Baby Gumdrop and one of my besties. She happens to be named for her! They share the same middle name, Rose.
The cake! A copy of Camden yards (the name of the Orioles ballpark).
The pinata! How fun is that! Kind of hard not to cheer for the Rangers but we made do :).
The game!
The aftermath!
That is a tired girl!
And a tired boy!

We had so much fun! Thanks Jamie and JR for the fantastic time!
